2011 Vancouver North Stake Trek

 

My kids are AWESOME!!!!! They came back with just the spirit beaming and an incredible experience under their belts. Once in alifetime experience:)4 days, 3 nights, 30 miles, basic food, 1000 pound carts,incredible work, over 300 people...lots of dirt and a TON OF FUN!

Summer BBQ at Bobbie's

 
 
 
 
Every year my half brother and sister's mom has a summer BBQ at her house for us "Johnson" folk! I love to see Grandma Virgie, Uncle Merrill, Diane, Korin and Tony(though he didn't go this year) and my siblings Linda and Jeff and their kids...oh and Stephen...long story...he is my half brother and sister's half brother:) Good times with family!

SILVERWOOD trip July 2011

 

I took the kids over to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho to visit Carolyn(my step-sister) and to enjoy SILVERWOOD! We had a great trip even though little Bob had a broken arm. The older kids did every roller coaster and the water park while Bob and I just did fun little kiddie stuff but Bob did brave Timber Terror once with the siblings:/ Jaydn rode Aftershock about 7 times and he convinced me to do Panic Plunge twice and Aftershock once...later I did Terror Timber with Jaydn and Corkscrew with Leavi ( this one is silly but fun). I also rode Thunder Canyon by myself when I had no idea where the kids were as I let them loose in the park....Kole and Jay paired up and Kyzen and Leavi:) This trip was worth driving home after the park and driving through the night, getting home at 3am....YIKES that was a hard drive. Jaydn and Leavi really wanted to sleep at home so they insured me they would help me stay awake which worked up until the final hour or so of driving. They were all asleep and right about Multnomah Falls I had to brave it on my own...window rolled down, concentration face on, leaning forward and praying as hard as I can to stay awake...we did! I love my kids!!!!

Double Buckle Fracture :/

 

Last Sunday Kyzen was doing bunny hops down the crub on our street and he did not land it thus ending in a double buckle fracture to his left arm! He will be getting his real cast Monday....ALWAYS fun to go to a theme park 5 days later....poor little boy :(

For the 4th of July Mel took me, Alyssa and Austin hiking in Mill Creek Canyon. We hiked almost 7 miles with 2 children that have never hiked before! The scenery was gorgeous and the feeling was so peaceful! When I get homesick for the Northwest and it's greenery I will come here! I was very impressed that little Austin wanted to hike and he did not murmur one word of complaint! Alyssa is going to keep right up with my teenage boys when we go out on hiking adventures! She totally loved being out in nature and kept me very well entertained the whole hike. She took the picture of me alone and Austin took one of Alyssa. What a great day it was! It even rained a little bit:)Mel and I dropped the kids off at the sandy parade to be with their mom for the night and we went to Rumbi for dinner...DELISH... and then we had some fun time together talking and enjoying my last evening in Utah. I miss my sweetheart:(

Mel took me and his children to Copperton park after church and we relaxed and enjoyed the kids. Amber and Alyssa were fun to photograph!

Alyssa will be one of my new step-daughters! Her daddy, Mel, baptized her on Saturday July 2,2011. The spirit was so strong and we all felt it. Alyssa is one special spirit and she will have many important things to do for her Heavenly Father! It was such a privilege to be in Utah for this special event. God blessed me with the means to get there and witness this:) I am grateful!

Kyzen got a lot of legos from grandma and grandpa, a razor scooter and a super soaker from mom and his dad got him a skim board for the beach:) great birthday I think!We all love you Kyzen Bob!!!

It never ceases to amaze me the things teenagers take pictures of :) Leavi and her friends had homemade pizza, root beer and fun at the park. I love it when she has parties at my house because I love the energy that teens have and the spirit they bring with them , it keeps me feeling young!
